The event will occur at the MARESIAS BEACH HOTEL, localized in Francisco Loup avenue, 1109, in the beach of MARESIAS, at 184 km from SÃO PAULO city (at 408 km from the city of RIO DE JANEIRO). About three-fourths of the land area of the city of SÃO SEBASTIÃO lies within the SERRA DO MAR State Park and this region is thus subject to strict environmental controls. The region is also dotted by Natural Heritage Reserves. The term “maresia” literally means “the strong sea-smell when the tide is low.” The nice environment of Maresias will certainly stimulate academic debates and exchange of ideas as well as the equally important cultural and fun activities.
